When you arrive at the Tower, you can pay by German EC card, credit card or in cash. In addition, you can book tickets in advance online on our website.

• Unfortunately, no pets are allowed up the Tower. The only exceptions are service dogs.
• Baby buggies, skateboards, scooters, bicycles, etc. must be left at the entrance.
• In addition, none of the following items are allowed up the Tower:
  • Glas bottles and glasses
  • large items of luggage, such as suitcases, trolleys, backpacks, etc.,
  • as well as weapons and other dangerous substances (pressurized gas bottles, fireworks, etc.)
     

During storm warnings, the viewing platform has to remain closed. If you’re not sure, please feel free to call us before to find out whether the Tower is open:  +49 711 232597.

• There is no need to book in advance for groups of up to 50 guests. If your group includes more than 50 guests, please let us know in advance re. what date and time you plan to visit. Simply get in touch via our contact form.
• To avoid having to queue at the ticket booth, you can buy adult group tickets for a later visit at the ticket booth before the actual day of your visit. In that case, the only wait you may have is at the elevators.
   

We accept the FamilienCard and the City of Stuttgart Bonuscard. Unfortunately, you cannot use the Landesfamilienpass for your visit.

No, unfortunately we can’t send you your tickets by mail.

• Vouchers are available at the TV Tower ticket booth. You can choose the value of any voucher you purchase, and it can be redeemed to go up the Tower on any day and/or for items from the gift shop.
• Vouchers to go up the Tower and for public tours of the tower can be booked online on the TV Tower website, but they can only be used for online bookings and can’t be used at the TV Tower ticket booth.
• For vouchers to use in the restaurant, please contact Restaurant Leonhardts directly.
   

No, unfortunately, no pets are allowed up the Tower–with the exception of service dogs.

The viewing platform is not completely wheelchair-accessible. For structural reasons, there is an approx. 10 cm high step at the entrance, but with assistance from an accompanying person it can be overcome easily—if necessary, please speak to our elevator attendants, who will be happy to help you. Particularly large wheelchairs (e.g., electric wheelchairs) may not fit through the doors to the viewing platform. In this case, please inquire about the dimensions (phone +49 711 232 597). The viewing platform has an aluminum railing. This restricts the view for wheelchair users who are unable to stand up. As an alternative, we recommend visiting the Panorama Café.

The Panorama Café is fully accessible, and the windows offer a good view even when seated.

The guided tour takes you to three parts of the Tower: the terrace outside the SWR TV Tower, the foundations, and the viewing platform. As the foundations can only be accessed via stairs, the guided tour is only partially wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair users with particularly large wheelchairs and/or who are unable to stand up should also note the information on accessibility relating to the viewing platform.

For safety reasons, a maximum of three wheelchair users or visitors with wheeled walking aids are allowed in the Tower pod at any one time.

Annual passes are valid for 365 days from their first use. So, for example, if you use your pass for the first time on August 1, 2025, it will be valid until July 31, 2026.

You can use your annual pass straight away, but you only pay for it the following month. Any visits in the month that you sign up are on us. What’s more, you can look forward to an attractive welcome gift from our shop. The pass can be canceled annually up to three months before it expires. Unlelss you cancel it, your annual pass will automatically renew for another year. You can sign up for an annual pass at the SWR TV Tower shop or download the application form and send it to us. No, your annual pass is issued in your name and is non-transferable.

Tickets for the After-Work Tour or Weekend Tour are available online with the usual online payment options. Alternatively, if you have booked online in advance, you can pay on the day at the ticket booth, either in cash, by German EC card or by credit card.

Yes. vouchers specifically for guided tours are available on the TV Tower website. Alternatively, you can purchase an SWR TV Tower voucher at the ticket booth, which can then be redeemed exclusively on site for tickets to public guided tours. You can also book public guided tours on your preferred date directly online and pay using standard online payment methods.

• You’ll have to buy your tickets for the After-Work Tour or the Weekend Tour in advance online.
• Unfortunately, annual pass holders are not currently able to purchase tickets online. You can collect your tour ticket straight from the TV Tower ticket booth. We apologize for any inconvenience.
• Tickets for a group tour on your desired date are available to purchase online. There is no need to print out the tickets you receive; our staff will give you your elevator tickets on the day of the tour.
  
   

• Unfortunately, tickets for the After-Work Tour or Weekend Tour cannot be refunded.
• For group tours scheduled on your chosen date, cancellations are free of charge up to six weeks before the date. If you cancel between six and two weeks before the scheduled date, 50% of the total cost will be charged. If you cancel fewer than two weeks before the scheduled date, 80% of the total cost will be charged.
  
   

Spontaneous participation in an after-work or weekend tour is only possible if there are still spaces available at short notice—we recommend inquiring at the ticket office or by phone at  +49 711 929 14724.

We offer tours on your selected date for groups of up to 35 people. Tours in German cost €390, while tours in English, French, Italian, or Spanish cost €455. These tours are available Monday to Friday during the SWR TV Tower’s regular opening times. There are no tours on weekends or public holidays.

We offer guided tours on your selected date for groups of up to 35 people. Tours in German cost €390, while tours in English, French, Italian, or Spanish cost €445. Tickets to the top of the tower are charged separately. If your group includes more than 35 people, you will have to book two tours; if the group includes more than 70 people, you will have to book three tours, and so on. Yes, in most cases. Up to three wheelchair users can be on site at any one time. However, as the foundations can only be accessed via stairs, the guided tour is only partially wheelchair accessible. To find out more about the SWR TV Tower’s accessibility, please refer to the FAQs.

It is not possible to book a table in the Panorama Café in the Tower pod. There are certain exceptions during culinary events. Please follow this link for details. If you book a space during one of these events, you will have your own table in the Panorama Café for the duration of the event.

You are able to reserve a table at the Restaurant Leonhard at the foot of the Tower. Please contact the restaurant directly on

You can hire the event space for corporate events such as presentations, gala dinners, or cocktail receptions, or for private celebrations such as special birthdays or baptisms. The minimum hire period is 3 hours. The space can be hired outside the regular opening times at a cost.

All prices are subject to statutory VAT.

(2) Set-up and breakdown times are part of the hire period and are added to the minimum hire period.

(3) The hire fee includes 70 tickets. Any additional tickets required can be purchased on site on the day of the event at the regular admission fee. For fire-safety and evacuation reasons, a maximum of 65 guests plus the TV Tower and hospitality staff are permitted in the event space at any one time. Tickets are non-transferable.

If you would like to get married at the SWR TV Tower in Stuttgart, please contact the registry office in Degerloch to arrange an appointment by calling  +49 711 216 609 16 or sending an email to standesamt.degerloch@stuttgart.de. Appointments are available on the first Friday of every month.
